VEGAS BABY *part one*

Aaaah, Sin City. What a fucking place. My sisters birthday gift was a girls weekend in Las Vegas! I had never been, so it was quite the experience, where to start...

We stayed at the Luxor. The pyramid shaped, Thebes themed hotel located at the very beginning of the Las Vegas strip right next to Mandalay bay. It was all in all a really nice hotel, except I wouldn't really chose it again, why? Only because It wasn't really "center" strip. Like I said, it's one of the first hotels on the strip, so walking was brutal, even though the walking alone was part of the experience but it got old! Especially when rushing back and fourth to change for shows, dinner or what not, but seriously, that's the only con.

                      Luxor Hotel

The hotel at night was incredible. The sky beam was mesmerizing! It can literally be seen all the way from Los Angeles, you could read a newspaper 320 feet up in the air with the beam alone. Costs them about 51$ an hour to operate (fun fact for ya)

We had already said we were going to go all Hangover that weekend (were obsessed with the hangover) out flight departed sacramento at 5 in the morning.. You best believe we started pregaming at the airport and on the plane!
Cheers to the freakin weekend bitches

First thing we did once we arrived which was at about 6:30 am, was EAAAAT. Let me tell you the buffets in Vegas are no joke, they're part of the Vegas experience. I ate so much in those three days it seriously wasn't even funny. Oh did I mention the buffet offered UNLIMITED MIMOSAS??!! Hell to the yes.

After about 12 mimosas each, we were full, inebriated and ready to explore! We walked the entire strip up and down and down and up. Let me say, I had in visioned Vegas to be all, glitter and sparkles. Had packed my tightest most Vegas outfits I could find, my sister had warned me that I would regret it and convinced me to at least pack a casual outfit with flats. Thank. God. I listened. The walking, the stairs, the streets, no fucking way I was gonna be able to do half the shit I did in heels. I saved those for clubbing ;) I wore a very comfy chic outfit: black leggings, a long slouchy black top, a coral light but warm coat (yes it was brrr) and my fave nude and metal plated flats.

Let me say, I would def pack differently next time. Make the day all about comfort.

While we explored, we stopped at The Venetian and oh my god, the architecture is Amaze! Literally every hotel took the theme way serious and made each section of the strip to a whole other level making you really feel like you were in that part of the world. Simply incredible. At the Venetian, they had the gondola ride, the gondolier even sang to you in Italian, aye amore! It was awesome.

...Lets talk shopping. Ohhhhhh the shopping, To fucking DIE FOR. Anything and everything you're little heart desires you can find in Vegas. Tom Ford, Cartier, Christian Louboutin, Prada, Fendi, Rolex. Ugh <3 I died a little inside. The grand canal shops, the shops in The Palazzo, maaan. A little bit of heaven everywhere. The biggest forever 21 EVER, You know I love me some F21.

           Burberry,Fendi, Dior Oh my!

             How beautiful! Chopard <3

                           Red Soles

                 Shops at Palazzo

Soooo, I am quite the little gambler and its fuxking VEGAS after all BUUUUUT, let me say I did really good. No, not good like i won, but good as in I didn't lose much! >.< I usually go for the machines that call me, give me a vibe, nomsaying, obvi, we weren't vibing right cause mama did not go buy a pair of loubs with her earnings! Ha.

              Stay tuned for part dos!!

GEEK <3

Today's ootn is all about the leather. Leather is the new denim after all! I'm all about that trend, LOVE me some leather. It adds instant touches of edgy chic!

Leather anything is such a statement, you have to be careful not to overdo it as it can easily go from edgy to WTF was she thinking instantly!

I paired a skin tight, high waisted leather pencil skirt with a slouchy muscle tee topped with a casual white blazer. One of my fave looks! Blazer is from Forever 21, skirt and top are from Ross, absolute steals!

Camo and Leather Loveee.

Leather is the new denim. And camo is always a good idea, together is the ultimate fashion statement! I got this studded leather sleeved camo jacket from Forever 21 and I. Am. Obsessed! I paired it with a simply V neck "boyfriend tee" and leather leggings, My focal point is the jacket so subtle was the way to go with everything else. I wore my suede black booties that I've had foreverrr, I can't even remember where I purchased those!

              Leather, studs and camo.

..Now lets talk accessories! Accessories are so important in any outfit I think, weather it's casual chic or full out glam, they make or break an outfit. I'm currently obsessed with tri color everything! White, rose and yellow gold combined.
Im all about fedoras right now too. with a slouchy side ponytail, completes the effortless chic look. Watch is The tricolor Lexington from Michael Kors, tricolor "Love" bangle set from F21 as well as the gold now ring!

Forgot how uncomfortable those booties can be to run errands in, ( beauty is pain, beauty is pain!) so I changed into my beige metal plated flats from Steve Madden.

Now lets talk makeup! My makeup for the day was what I like to call a very understated glam. It's there but not gaudy.. My main thing for this look is to focus on the eyes, I love big dolly looking eyes! Been seeing all this 'circle lenses' I think I'm going to have to give them a try!
My go to lashes are 'Demi wispies' from ardell, I prep my own lashes by applying lighting at focusing only on the base of your lashes not the tips because it looks way WAY to harsh once falsies have been applied.

They truly are the perfect touch, not to fake looking but totally intense! They do come in brown, I just have ways preferred my falsies to be black! :)

Ahhh, every woman's secret weapon, highlighting and contouring! I would like to say I haven't yet mastered THEE technique for my face, because as you all may already know, a contouring technique that works for your girlfriend may not be the best for you. Each face shape has its won way to be contoured. I got a much lighter than my skin tone for the highlighting and the darkest tone for contouring I found it much easier to blend in like that!

           Femme Couture Get flawless

I discovered this brand while browsing at a Sally's beauty supply, and let me say, I LOVE! I literally have almost everything the offer, they're that good. On point mac dupes for some of the cosmetics..

         For highlighting 'light medium"

              ..and 'Deep' for contouring

                   Until the next post..

My heart stays in South Carolina <3

Oh baby! My first post, and what better topic than the love of my life. I just got back from an amazing trip to South Carolina to see my boyfriend and celebrate not only my birthday but our three year anniversary! It's been three years of long distance (3,000 miles to be exact) numerous trips back and fourth to California and SC, but this time I hadn't seem him in exactly a year! When my ticket was finally booked and set for November 27th, the countdown was brutal, not to mention the six hour flight felt never ending..
Finally... I arrived in Greenville. Finally I was able to hug and kiss the love of my life. It was such an incredible feeling. I was there for only six days and my oh my did they F L Y :(
Alllll the anticipation alllllll the preparing and planning for it to be over as soon as I was taking it all in? The drive to the airport to drop the other off never get easier, but when you're blessed to  have something so good, you do whatever it takes to keep it. Needless to say any relationship takes a lot of work and understanding to make it, when you're in a LDR, that doubles. I'm lucky to have such a loving, understanding, genuine man to call mine. Now I'm back in California, missing the living sh*t out of him thought I would blog about it :) Here are some pics of the trip!
